I think a new tradition has started at our place, with the slider for a quick and tasty dinner.
So tonight it was Angus beef with fried egg and dijon mustard.
A scone cutter was reborn and was perfect tool for the beef patties. Not all that good meat was wasted! My Rottweiler enjoyed what was left over.
I used silicone cupcake cases for the eggs. No need to grease them, the eggs came out with no fuss.
We recently purchased a second Airfryer and it was the best decision we made!
Beef patties and eggs in one with the chips in the other.
Beef patties and eggs were cooked for 15 minutes at 190 degrees and the chips 14 minutes at 200 degrees in a Philips XL Airfryer.
Perfect little meal in a total of 20 minutes!
Time and temperature for the beef (which were quite thick) was for well done. So adjust time to your liking and if using a brand other than the Philips XL, you may also need to make alterations to time and possibly temperature.
As always any method of cooking can be used.
Both the Philips Airfryer and Pasta and Noodle Maker has transformed our lives and the way we think about food.
I can (like a lot of us) work long hours and physical hours. The last thing I want to think about is having to cook tea! So takeaway food was a staple diet in our house for many years.
But all that has changed!
With these two amazing appliances I can now come home after a long tiring day, have a great meal prepared from scratch and served in around 12 minutes.
Easy as 1 2 3…
Homemade pasta under 12 minutes
300g of flour (any flour of your choice)
90ml of water
*This will make one serve to feed up to two people
2 tablespoons of olive oil
If you’re making your pasta fresh it will only require blanching for approximately 3 minutes.
Place prawns and bacon with 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a baking dish, set temperature on your Airfryer to 200 degrees and timer for 12 minutes (time can vary depending on how you like your meat cooked).
With 5 minutes left add cherry tomatoes cut in halves to the prawns and bacon. It will pay to give ingredients and quick stir a couple of times throughout.
Once cooked and pasta cooked or blanched, simply combine, add crumbled feta and parmesan. Drizzle oil over left in the baking dish and…. Enjoy!
A great delicious meal in around 12 minutes and quicker than any takeaway meal!
With maple and dill pickles
With bearinaise sauce
1-2 Chicken breast fillet
6 Streaky bacon strips
Dill pickles/ gherkins
–Chicken breast were marinated in BBQ and Worcestershire sauce for up to 5 hours. Then grilled on a George Foreman grill for slightly charred effect.
-Place oven fries for your desired amount into the basket (leaving enough room for bacon to go on top) of your Airfryer and set temperature on your Airfryer to 200 degrees and timer for 16 minutes.
-With approximately 7-8 minutes to go, add your bacon to the Airfryer leaving oven fries in the basket. At this point start grilling your chicken breasts.
-Once oven fries and bacon is done, remove them from the basket and place your waffles in, keep temperature at 200 and set timer for 2 minutes.
-Remove waffles and plate up to your liking and drizzle maple syrup or bearinaise sauce to finish.
*Note with your chicken breasts you can pan fry, oven grill, BBQ or airfry. I like to grill in the George Foreman for time and charring.
Airfried bacon wrapped prawns with hickory smoked bacon.
Your choice of prawns
Hickory smoked bacon
Leave bacon strips out at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Trim bacon if needed and wrap prawns in the bacon.
Place pigtails back in the fridge for 20 minutes.
Set temperature on the Airfryer to 200 degrees.
Place pigtails in the basket of Airfryer and set time for 7 minutes.
Like so many frozen oven fries is generally the first test for your Airfryer. Cooking in a conventional oven quick, easy snack or meal will have you waiting up to 45 minutes but not with the Airfryer!
With the temperature set at 200 degrees, these perfectly cooked, crunchy and golden brown fries were ready to eat in 10 minutes!
Almost 2 kg of oven fries cooked to perfection.
