Spaghetti and Meatballs

I’m 43 years young and never have I ever had spaghetti and meatballs!

I was at our local butcher recently and was looking for something a little different. Something I would normally overlook.

I saw they had containers homemade and par cooked tomato and basil meatballs.

Also these beautiful lamb and bacon patties (previously posted with my bratkartoffeln).

Immediately I thought… “These meatballs would be great with some rice!” It took a little while of thinking for other options to realise I’d never had good old spaghetti and meatballs!

I’ve been missing out!!

The pasta was a freshly made 300g serve from my Pasta and Noodle Maker, which was blanched for 3 minutes.

The meatballs were airfried at 180 degrees for 10 minutes and a rich tomato and basil sauce added with 6 minutes to go.

As I am about simple, quick and tasty meals perfect for the end of a busy day, this was perfect!

The whole meal done in 10 minutes with leftovers! Now that’s tomorrow’s meal already sort.

Curried Penne

Using the Philips Pasta and Noodle Maker, 300g of plain flour, a teaspoon of Keens curry powder and 95ml of water.

What I love so much about the Philips Pasta and Noodle Maker besides fresh pasta within minutes, is the creativity and inspiration that comes from using it.

Whether it be plain pasta, egg noodles to your own little creations. Curry, the juices from beetroot, orange, carrot or whatever greens you fancy to get your tastebuds tingling.

You can even use it to make corn chips!

To know that after a long hard day at work, your tired and maybe even a little grumpy, you can have a freshly made meal on the table in around 12  minutes!

And never again will you have to buy dehydrated pasta or spend 6 hours on your precious Sunday making pasta the traditional way.

This appliance along with the Philips Airfryer has changed the way I think about food. Has inspired me to hopefully inspire like-minded people via this blog and my Facebook page.

All it takes is to reach out to one person and you don’t have to be anyone else but you to do so. All you need is a little passion and a smile.

Airfried Lasagne

Fresh lasagne and in only 32 minutes with the Philips Pasta and Noodle Maker and Airfryer!

While browning 500g of beef mince I simply added desired amount of plain flour (600g) and water (180ml) to the pasta maker and cut the lasagne sheets to suit.

Added a tomato, basil and garlic sauce to the mince.

Layered the mince and lasagne sheets in the baking dish, topped with grated cheese and parmesan.

In to the Airfryer, set the temperature to 200 degrees and baked for 10 minutes.

Nothing flash or fancy but a great tasty meal ready in no time at all!

I didn’t blanch the lasagne sheets but if you prefer to, blanch the sheets for 3 minutes.

Perfect Synergy

Both the Philips Airfryer and Pasta and Noodle Maker has transformed our lives and the way we think about food.

I can (like a lot of us) work long hours and physical hours. The last thing I want to think about is having to cook tea! So takeaway food was a staple diet in our house for many years.

But all that has changed!

With these two amazing appliances I can now come home after a long tiring day, have a great meal prepared from scratch and served in around 12 minutes.

Easy as 1 2 3…

Homemade pasta under 12 minutes

300g of flour (any flour of your choice)
90ml of water
*This will make one serve to feed up to two people

Cherry tomatoes
Danish feta
Parmesan (grated)
2 tablespoons of olive oil

If you’re making your pasta fresh it will only require blanching for approximately 3 minutes.

Place prawns and bacon with 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a baking dish, set temperature on your Airfryer to 200 degrees and timer for 12 minutes (time can vary depending on how you like your meat cooked).

With 5 minutes left add cherry tomatoes cut in halves to the prawns and bacon. It will pay to give ingredients and quick stir a couple of times throughout.

Once cooked and pasta cooked or blanched, simply combine, add crumbled feta and parmesan. Drizzle oil over left in the baking dish and…. Enjoy!
A great delicious meal in around 12 minutes and quicker than any takeaway meal!
