But it’s got Bacon!

It might be a little different and maybe even a little strange. But airfried apple wrapped in bacon tastes amazing!

But hey, it’s got bacon so it has to be good!

Lightly dusted with nutmeg and for me, because it has bacon, drizzled with maple syrup.

1 granny smith apple cut in quarters
4 rashers of hickory smoked bacon
Maple syrup

Cut apple into quarters removing seeds and centre and dust with nutmeg.

But first you need to leave your bacon rashers at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Then wrap your apples with the bacon rashers and place in the fridge for a further 20 minutes.

Set temperature on your Airfryer to 160 degrees and bake for 12 minutes

Seriously… ENJOY!

Perfect Synergy

Both the Philips Airfryer and Pasta and Noodle Maker has transformed our lives and the way we think about food.

I can (like a lot of us) work long hours and physical hours. The last thing I want to think about is having to cook tea! So takeaway food was a staple diet in our house for many years.

But all that has changed!

With these two amazing appliances I can now come home after a long tiring day, have a great meal prepared from scratch and served in around 12 minutes.

Easy as 1 2 3…

Homemade pasta under 12 minutes

300g of flour (any flour of your choice)
90ml of water
*This will make one serve to feed up to two people

Cherry tomatoes
Danish feta
Parmesan (grated)
2 tablespoons of olive oil

If you’re making your pasta fresh it will only require blanching for approximately 3 minutes.

Place prawns and bacon with 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a baking dish, set temperature on your Airfryer to 200 degrees and timer for 12 minutes (time can vary depending on how you like your meat cooked).

With 5 minutes left add cherry tomatoes cut in halves to the prawns and bacon. It will pay to give ingredients and quick stir a couple of times throughout.

Once cooked and pasta cooked or blanched, simply combine, add crumbled feta and parmesan. Drizzle oil over left in the baking dish and…. Enjoy!
A great delicious meal in around 12 minutes and quicker than any takeaway meal!

Dad’s Chicken and Waffles

With maple and dill pickles

With bearinaise sauce

1-2 Chicken breast fillet
6 Streaky bacon strips
4 Waffles
Dill pickles/ gherkins
Maple syrup
Bearinaise sauce
Oven fries

Chicken breast were marinated in BBQ and Worcestershire sauce for up to 5 hours. Then grilled on a George Foreman grill for slightly charred effect.
-Place oven fries for your desired amount into the basket (leaving enough room for bacon to go on top) of your Airfryer and set temperature on your Airfryer to 200 degrees and timer for 16 minutes.
-With approximately 7-8 minutes to go, add your bacon to the Airfryer leaving oven fries in the basket. At this point start grilling your chicken breasts.
-Once oven fries and bacon is done, remove them from the basket and place your waffles in, keep temperature at 200 and set timer for 2 minutes.
-Remove waffles and plate up to your liking and drizzle maple syrup or bearinaise sauce to finish.

*Note with your chicken breasts you can pan fry, oven grill, BBQ or airfry. I like to grill in the George Foreman for time and charring.

First Fry

                           Oven Fries
Like so many frozen oven fries is generally the first test for your Airfryer. Cooking in a conventional oven quick, easy snack or meal will have you waiting up to 45 minutes but not with the Airfryer!
With the temperature set at 200 degrees, these perfectly cooked, crunchy and golden brown fries were ready to eat in 10 minutes!
