Apple Cake with Maple

I’ve had my All-in-One Cooker for a little while but have yet to put put it to good use… Until now!

This is a multi cooker that bakes, sears, slow and pressure cooks as well as making yoghurt. So for its first run I thought… Let’s bake a cake?!

First time I’ve baked a cake from raw ingredients since 1995! I hope the result speaks for itself?

190g margarine
200g sugar (I used raw sugar)
100g almond meal
190g plain flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
2 apples peeled, cored and cut into eights
80ml maple syrup

Thoroughly mix margarine, sugar and eggs.
Add flour, baking powder and almond meal. Mix until creamy and fold maple syrup through the mix.
Grease inner pot and add mixture smoothing top of the mix for evenness.
Place apples on top pressing them in to the mix and dust with cinnamon.

Press bake, set time for 50 minutes and press start.
Place and close lid setting valve to bake.

That’s it!

Note: As usual this can be done in a conventional oven or Airfryer. I would recommend 160 degrees for both and adjust times to suit.

  1. Looks awesome!

I reckon the only improvement you could make would be to use butter instead of chemicals aka margarine.

I’m going to have a go at this one 🙂
